On the road again

Here we go on another Farnsworth family road trip! It's been a while since we've been on a road trip that doesn't involve Utah or Jerome. This time we headed up to Oregon (Newport) to spend a few days on the coast. The main activity was for Malia, David, and Dad to go deep-sea fishing. The rest of us could have, we just weren't too fond of the idea of having to wake up and be on the boat by 5:30 in the morning!

We had a little over 8 hours of time to fill and ended up listening to alot of music and burning through alot of Nintendo DS charged batteries. And who doesn't love those good ol' road trip naps? How many ways do you know to get comfortable in a suburban packed with seven people, luggage, and the music turned way up? Funny enough, it's not as hard as you think!

Grandma came with us and she was so excited! She loves the coast and was busy getting ready weeks before we left. Thanks to her, we has lots of tasty snacks for the trip! She loves supplying us with that kind of stuff, so it was one more reason we were glad she came! :) Hopefully we didn't drive her too crazy while we sang along to our music (especially Malia, who always sings with alot of...gusto, when she's feeling bored)!

And then there's David. Like I said, we had alot of time to try to entertain ourselves and each other. That's him with half a gummy worm stuck to his nose. After several hours of driving, we hear him from the back, "Hey look, I'm a vampire who got into a fist fight!" Wondering what that could possibly look like, we look back and he had one of the little DS stylus's hanging from his mouth, like a fang, but the other "fang" had been punched out.
