The Farm that Jim and Martha have is really cool. Over the years that they're lived there they've made it bigger and added more things to it that make it really fun to explore. They have three man-made ponds which are usually stocked with fish (and there are usually frogs and snakes to be found, too). There are chickens, ducks, and dogs that run around all over the place
There's a hammock next to the lake, and another one next to a little stream that runs through the lower yard. Several years ago, they found a baby deer and took care of him until he was too big to keep. And just a year or two ago, they were given a raccoon and kept him as a little pet for a while. There's always little critters to be found out there. Even during the reunion, we found a little bird sitting on one of our campchairs. We think he fell out of his nest, which was in the tree above us.
Here's one of the ponds. When we were little we'd swim in it. It wouldn't be too fun to swim in now because of all the plants that have grown up in it. But there's a new pond that is clear and David and I waded in it a little while we were there.

People from the area are always asking Jim if they can come camp out on his property. The scouts have especially

So I'm sure you remember the news about the roosters. But luckily while we were there, we got to pick out six new baby chicks, which Martha guaranteed us would be hens.
It was a fun day!
