Yesterday there was basically a church prom that was hosted at the Eagle Stake Center. David and Spencer decided to do a double date and spend the day doing some fun stuff with their dates before going to the dance.
They started out by buying a bouquet of flowers then meeting at Ingram's house with their dates and making each other's corsage's and boutonnieres. After that they went and played some glow-in-the-dark mini golf.
Later that night David and his date Kayleigh, plus Spencer and his date Marley, and another couple Greg and Natalie all stopped by at our house so we could embarrass them by taking the awkward/dreaded,
pre-dance pictures. :)
Once we released them from the torture of being the center of attention, they headed over to the Macaroni Grill for dinner. David was telling us that when they finished eating and asked for their checks, the waiter told them that someone in the restaurant had anonymously paid for their whole group!
After the dance, David and Spencer ended up helping some random guy jump start his car, which had apparently died because he'd left his radio on too long! :) Needless to say, their date seemed to be pretty adventurous and fun.
Even though David cringes every time we take a picture of him, and makes it almost impossible to get a "normal" picture (if you need to be reminded, just look through a couple of past posts) the ones from last night turned out pretty good!
Here's David and Kayleigh
The whole group - Natalie, Greg, Kayleigh, David, Marley, and Spencer
Should we be worried? :) Nah!!
C'mon, it's only a little prick, right? Actually, she did just fine pinning the boutonniere on David.
This is one of my favorite pictures from last night. I told Kayleigh to put her flowers next to David's because I was impressed at how well their home-made corsage/boutonnieres had turned out. So she hopped right up and did this fun little pose. I've never met her before, but she goes to seminary with David and Kelani and seems like a nice girl. Anyway, it was fun to see them all dressed up and know that they were off to a glorified stake dance where they wouldn't have to deal with some of the messy bits of school dances.
Fun stuff!

What a great idea! Love it! I luv luv Kayleigh! She is amazing! I am good friends with her family! Can't say enough good about them! I am sure someone picked up their check because they all look so clean-cut and modest . . . all around great kids! Kudos!
