Livin' it up, Boise style

Boise is one of the coolest places EVER!! I mean, of course there are tons of great places to visit all over the world, and I've even got to go to a few of them, but have you ever taken a few hours just to explore Boise?
The last couple evenings I've been down in the Camel's Back park/Harrison Blvd. part of town and it's awesome.

Wednesday evening Malia took her activity day girls from the ward to hike Camel's Back so I got to go with them. Lucky for me, she's the leader so I was mostly there just to have fun! :)

Then on Friday night most of us drove down to Camel's Back and took off on our bikes to just explore. Sadly I didn't get pictures of all the fun stuff we saw, but here's a few...

This first one is actually from Wednesday and it's a view of Boise from the top of the hill we climbed at the park. It was such a clear evening....beautiful!

Here's the crazy activity day girls! :)

So on Friday we started by riding our bikes through Hyde Park. There were so many good smelling restaurants as we went through there! Then we made our way over to the river and went down the greenbelt for a little while.
There's a little spot we like to stop and wade in and the river was pretty low right there so Malia, Nani, and I went out to the middle.
Mom and Dad just sat and waited for us while we played in the water and cooled off.
We were down there at one of my favorite times of day. It was still light outside, but starting to cool off and everything was clear and sparkly as the sun got closer to going down.
On our way back to the car we stopped at this old, little market and went in the store to look around. I think it's been there since the early 1900's.
As we rode past the Veteran's hospital there was a huge grassy area that had big, ol' sprinklers going so Nani and I took a few minutes and ran through them. It was awesome!!
Then we rode our bikes through some classy, old neighborhoods where it was fun just to see all the different house styles.
Anyway, it was lots of fun and I would do it again any time! So next time you want some exciting site seeing why don't you try exploring a bit of Boise and you might just be surprised!

Oh my word! How can Malia POSSIBLY be old enough to be the Activity Day leader?!! That is just crazy. What lucky girls. I LOVE that picture of the 3 of you together. You are all so gorgeous.
