My family went to Jerome Friday night and stayed at the Farm, and then on Saturday morning the Ingrams came and got to the Temple at about 10:30. Since Heidi needed to be in there so early, that left Becca, Spencer, and their friend Laura with some time to get a few important jobs done.
They came to the Farm and got me and my siblings and we all went back to Twin and paid a visit to the local Zurchers. Yes, we were buying the top secret, extremely mandatory "car decorating supplies"!! Bryce (Heidi's husband) was a little worried that his car wouldn't make it out unscathed, so we went easy ;) and only bought balloons and streamers.
Then we had to zip over to Kimberley to pick up some food for after the sealing and before heading back to Boise. I found some crazy sort of pleasure in stopping at the restaurant and picking up the pre-ordered meal of 50 burritos!! It was awesome!
Of course entertainment was not lacking as we rode in the car while Spencer drove and David sat up front inflating balloons as the two of them sang random Youtube songs! :)
The sealing started at 12:00, so we got back right before 12:30 and had plenty of time to wait outside the Temple for our first look at Heidi and Bryce. It was so much fun!! So the rest of the day will be highlighted in the following pictures (with a bit of commentary)!
(Don't worry, Spencer didn't play with the balloons while he drove:
this picture was taken while we were parked outside the restaurant. :)
Here's Mom, Laura, and Becca waiting outside the temple!
There's the new couple; do they look happy or what?!
Check out this group picture! This is just about everyone that came to the temple with them.
Love this picture!!!
This is the sibling shot; there were a few people all taking their pictures, so I just kind of snuck in
and took one from the side (which is why they're looking a different direction :).
I loved this one, too! I was just randomly taking pictures and Heidi looked over just as I took this. She was such a gorgeous bride!!
So once the picture taking portion was over we ate some burritos, stopped for a lemonade at The Burnt Lemon (soooo good), made a quick stop at the gas station, and headed back for the reception. I was with Ingrams the whole time and we had so much fun; we even had time for a few rounds of Mario Kart on the Wii when we got back to Meridian! :)
The reception started at 7:30 so we spent the rest of the time getting everything ready for that. It all looked so good (they had some awesome helpers the whole night, too) and it was a blast! Becca, Heidi's sister-in-law Mikayla, and I were bridesmaids (which meant a lot to me that Heidi would even think to ask me!) so we all got cute dresses to wear for the day.
During the evening (while Bryce was occupied) a few of us went out and took care of some business. We filled his car with balloons and tied streamers on door handles (later on that night, some of Bryce's family decorated the windows with wash-able paint, which was the perfect touch)! It was great!
Can you find the bouquet? (Hint - it's still in the air).
Because Heidi is not only a good friend, but also one of our Irish dance teachers, of course a ton of dancers came for the reception!! So we pulled a group of us together and got a fun picture. Do you like how we're all pointing our toes in the traditional Irish dance form? :) The guy on the end is in a Celtic band that our group has gotten to be friends with so Mom told him to get in the picture, too. When Mom took the picture I asked her to count to 3 for us before she took it, but instead she said, " 5, 6...5,6,7,8" (the usual counts all of us dancers are used to)! It was so funny!
Before Bryce and Heidi took off on their honeymoon, I had to get a quick picture with her! Their family are seriously some of the best people ever and we've been such good friends! I am so happy for her!
But it wasn't going to be an easy get away! They had to stall for a few minutes to get the balloons out of the car to even have room to sit down.
They finally got on their way and the rest of us got things picked up and put away (most of it, that is). The reception was at their grandparent's house, so once it was all cleaned up about as much as it could be for 11:00 at night, we all kind of crashed in the living room and just talked and snacked. It was awesome!
Such a fun, fun day!!
