Catching up for June!

Hi everyone! Yes, I know it's been a long time that you've been stuck looking at the same pictures, so finally here are some new ones. :) We've been staying nice and busy and we're just getting started! Theses pictures are all mostly things that happened in June (and don't worry, there will be tons of things going on in July that you'll hear about soon).
So I'll just try to keep a little summary going and we'll move right along.....

First off, here's a picture from our Irish performance at the Emmett Cherry Festival. We've performed there every year for several years, probably 5 for me (it's all a wonderful blur). We love it, despite the major hazard of their slippery bandshell floor...it just adds to the thrill.

The next performance was one we did at the Renaissance Faire. It was lots of fun, but also a first for us in getting a chance to actually perform in the rain! It started raining on us in the morning as we danced, and I don't think it stopped the whole day. Of course the whole event was outside, and we had another performance later on, so must of us hung out under our little "IDI tent" (but of course, most of us had some exploring to do and got rained on any way). It was awesome though and I'd do it again!

At the end of June some of our best friends moved their little family to Utah. The Kays have been in our ward for 7 or 8 years and we've had so many fun experiences with them. We've been lucky enough to be around as they've had their three little kids during the years they've been in the ward (the newest one is just a little over two months old). Malia and I even got Machelle as one of our YW leaders, plus they're the ones who take our awesome family pictures, and they got to be witness to the first group date that us siblings went on (that's a great story)! :) Our family and theirs have become life long friends.
We love them all, and we'll miss them a ton!

David and the neighbor brothers across our street joined a city league basketball team this summer so they've been having weekly games that we like to go watch (even though they don't win very often :)!

We also had dance camp for Irish at the end of June, which was super fun! I think altogether I had about 15 hours of dance class that week (which is nothing compared to how many hours our teachers had). But it was great, and as tired as I was, I was a little sad for it to be over!

The week after that, our cousin Ian got sealed in Twin Falls! It was great to hang out with some of our cousins outside the temple while we waited for everyone to come out. I love the Twin Falls temple, it is so pretty!! What a fun day!

During the luncheon after the sealing, the wind picked up (hard to believe for Twin Falls, right?) and the table clothes were refusing to co-operate! So Dad decided to put them to better use and turn into Superman!

Before the reception a few of us drove down to see Shoshone Falls. It was awesome! There was this one spot that was super windy, so Kelani, Lanie, and I seized the opportunity to get some "model hair" shots. :)

Here's Ian and our new cousin-in-law Reilley! They are so perfect for each other, it's just awesome. And, Ian is the 6th cousin to get married, but the first boy - so we now have a new cousin with our last name. It was pretty exciting. Their reception was in Glenns Ferry and it was so nice, and the weather was perfect that whole day (minus the wind in Twin).

That weekend we got together with some of Mom's family and got to ride over in our uncle's boat to a little picnic spot up by Lucky Peak. It was fun and the water felt so good! We found this big ol' log that me and some of my cousins tried floating on, but it was not co-operating! I loved getting to ride in the boat, it's always so much fun.
Besides all that, Malia's still putting in lots of hours at Petsmart, I'm taking a communications class, and all of us are staying busy with callings, or jobs, or just living up the summer - finally!! The garden is doing good; Grandpa Farns is going through chemo right now and is pretty warn out, but as funny as ever! And lucky for us there are still so many things coming up to look forward to - - so stay tuned......

Love the Superman picture! Too funny. I think you should move over to this side of the state, go to BYU-I, and teach Irish dance. We don't have any teachers over here! :)
