A Mother's Day post

 Since today is Mother's Day, I thought I should specially acknowledge all the awesome moms I know. Of course everyone has their own, personal mom that is there for them from the beginning and always will be. My mom is so great and does everything she can to make sure all of us are happy and get to do fun things.
   She couldn't bear to send us to school and so she decided to keep us all home and teach us as a family. I have loved being able to be home and learn more than just math, or science, or reading. Thanks to her we learned how to take care of a house, and be responsible people (some of us are still learning that...). She's been an awesome example of how to serve others through callings she's had in church, and just being friends with the people we're around.
   I've had a hard time as I've gotten older when it comes to deciding what to do when I "grow up". I never had big dreams to have some major job, or earn every degree I could from college (not that I don't love learning). I've just always planned on growing up to be a mom, and I'm sure it's mostly because of the kind of mom I had that makes me want to be a good one, too.
   And then there are all the other neat moms I know, whether it's grandmas, aunts, or really good friends. We're lucky that we each get our own mom, but then we also get moms in our lives to look up to who unknowingly set examples for us by how they live.
  Today is one day set aside to especially make it a great day for those special moms that we know, but hopefully we'll realize everyday how blessed we are to have such great people in our lives and to make sure they know that we love them. Happy Mother's Day!!
