We all got our last look at the tidepools as we made our way back up the house.

That's where we stayed. It was a really fun trip, and we're already hoping we can do it again next year!

After we had been driving for about an hour or two, the weather started to warm up again, and before we knew it, we were hot in our jackets and long sleeved shirts. We made a few stops on the way home. First we stopped to see Uncle Short and Aunt Carol (Dad's great uncle and his wife). They were alot of fun. We just met them at a family reunion a few weeks before, so this was only the second time we'd been around them. Uncle Short is a funny guy, and he loaded us up with a bunch of home-canned food before we left. We came home with pickled garlic, pickles, canned asparagus, home-smoked cheese, and home-smoked fish. We stopped at Multnomah Falls, too. We've all been there before, but it was fun to see again. We didn't hike all the way to the top this time, but Mom, Nani, and I walked up to the bridge. We got a little treat there, then headed out. Our last official stop was at an Indian reservation (Uncle Short told us to be sure to stop and ask for Bill). We bought some fresh caught fish from Bill, so that made Dad happy. Then we all settled in for the long drive home. We stopped at a couple gas stations on the way. Around 11:00 at night, we stopped and got some snacks and Dad bought a gigantic burrito that we shared once we got back in the car. We dropped Grandma off at her house, and pulled into our driveway around 12:45 am!! But it was worth it!
