Hi you awesome blog readers!! I know I started a story that I haven't finished yet, but don't worry, I will one of these days! :)
This interruption is to remind you that the Boise Temple is now officially open for all of us to tour! I got to go in there today with some of my family and it was AMAZING!! I haven't ever seen all of the inside before, so I couldn't compare most of it to how it looked before.
But let me just say, it was breathtaking. The last time I went to an open house for a temple was in 2008 when we went to see Twin Falls.
That time was so great because my grandma and grandpa Farnsworth were temple workers and they were able to take our whole, big family through together. I remember there was one part where we got to see the Brides' room and there were 3 or 4 of us girl cousins all standing together looking in the mirror. I realized what a profound thing that was that all of us were future brides and how cool it was that we were all there as a family together.
As I went through the temple this morning, I was excited to see the brides' room again and remember how neat it was to see it in Twin. It was also a sweet experience today as I went from room to room and had memories of my grandpa come to mind. He loved serving others, and the church and his family were the center of his life and commitment. I miss him so much and I truly don't know how I would be able to find any peace in him being gone now, other than the fact that I know that because of the Temple and the blessings and promises that we get there we will be with my grandpa (and all our loved ones) forever. Being a family forever is only possible because of the temple and I'm thankful for it everyday.
So....whether you belong to the church or not, stop by one of these days and have a look. Everyone there is so friendly and everything you see and feel is completely great! You won't regret it!!
