 April showers bring May Flowers, and May Flowers bring Pilgrims (yeah, lame joke, I know) - but what about March showers?

March showers bring puddles!

Kelani and I were able to successfully begin our "puddling" season last night, thanks to all the rain we've had over the last couple days. There is a spot in our neighborhood that becomes a brilliant "puddle", more like a small crater, whenever we get enough rain and it is excellent for riding a bike through.

For years we've always used this to our advantage and it never disappoints.

It was a little chilly yesterday, but we threw on some old clothes and took off at high speed for a few glorious, splashy rides through the puddle.

It's a little hard to tell in the picture, but our hair and faces got a bit wet and muddy by the time we were done.

 You know you hit the puddle at the proper speed when the water trail goes all the way up your back!

  The only real danger is when you're going fast enough that the water spraying you in the face prevents you from being able to see where you're going. Other than that there's nothing to worry about! :)
