Birthday party!

Since we have a pretty big family, and therefore, a lot of birthday's, we try to get together when it works for everyone and celebrate a few months worth of b-days. Well, because of everyone's busy schedules and everything else, we haven't got all together since the beginning of the year. So on Labor Day we all went out to Grandma's to celebrate anyone who has a birthday between March and October! There were TONS of people, so now we know not to let them build up like that. It pretty much costs a small fortune just to buy cards for everyone! :)

Mom and her oldest sister, Etau. And in case anyone's wondering, Etau (pronounced E-taw) is not her real name. It's Janis. But when Mom was little, for some reason she had a hard time saying "sister" and it came out Etau and we've called her that as long as I can remember!
It's actually kind of nice, come to think of it, because Mom and her three sisters all have "J" names- Janis, Judy, Jana, and Joni, plus my Grandma's name is Janell. And to make things more confusing, Joni's husband is Jay and their two boys are named Jeremy and Jason. Then Judy has a daughter named Jonna, and a son Jeff. So can you see how Etau is a bit of a break in the long list of "J" names. :)
