The beach

Mom and Grandma dropped Dad, David, and Malia off in the morning and they headed out to fish. Nani and I got to sleep in a little, and once we woke up we walked down to the beach for a while. I couldn't resist attempting "The Little Mermaid" pose when I saw that rock sticking up.

We loved looking at the tide pools. I've always wanted to see some, and the first one I saw, I found and caught a tiny crab. There were also little jellyfish scattered all over the sand. Dad and Kelani decided to start a "Jellyfish Rescue" which wasn't much of a success. They tried throwing one back into the water, but it washed back onto the beach, only to be spotted by a seagull. I don't think the seagull ended up eating it, but it was a close call! :)

Us four girls just hung out all morning while we waited for the fishers to get back. We spent some time on the beach, then did some shopping, which of course included a stop at Wal*Mart! Around lunch time we headed over to the dock where the fishing boat would be coming back.
